Luana Inn Policies

We are dedicated to providing a safe, peaceful, and enjoyable environment for everyone staying at Luana Inn. Our policies are designed to preserve the comfort, privacy, and restorative atmosphere of the property. Please review them before booking to make sure Luana Inn is the right setting for your stay.

In-person check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

If you expect to arrive after 6:00 PM, please notify us in advance and we will provide instructions for self check-in.

Check-out is by 11:00 AM.

A two-night minimum stay is required.

Discounted rates are available for stays of 10 nights or longer.

Rates are based on double occupancy.

Our rooms and suites are designed to accommodate two adults. The Alihi Lani Suite can accommodate up to two additional people for $60 plus tax, per person, per night.

A one-night deposit is due at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The remaining balance will be charged to the card on file 45 days prior to arrival.

Cancellations 45 days or more before arrival:
Your one-night deposit will be refunded, less a $72 administrative fee per room booked.

Cancellations within 45 days of arrival:
Reservations canceled within 45 days of arrival are non-refundable. The one-night deposit will be forfeited, and any remaining balance due for the stay will be charged to the card on file.

Changes that shorten your stay within 45 days of arrival:
If you shorten your stay within 45 days of arrival, the nights removed from your reservation are non-refundable and will be charged in full.

Future Stay Credit:
In certain circumstances, Luana Inn may offer a credit toward a future stay in lieu of a refund for a cancellation within the 45-day window. Any future stay credit will be issued as a gift card and is subject to Luana Inn's terms, including expiration, blackout dates, and availability. Future stay credit is not guaranteed unless specifically confirmed by Luana Inn.

Luana Inn's peaceful environment is best suited to children 14 years of age and older. Please contact us before booking if you are traveling with younger children so we can discuss whether the accommodations and property will be suitable for your family.

Younger children must be supervised by an adult at all times, and use of the swimming pool may be limited to designated hours to preserve the quiet enjoyment of the pool area.

Our Alihi Lani Suite is the accommodation best suited to families traveling with children.

In keeping with Hawaiian custom and to help preserve the cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere of Luana Inn, we kindly ask that shoes be removed before entering your room or the main lobby.

Designated areas are provided for leaving footwear outside.

Visitors from the local community are welcome in limited numbers. If you would like to invite someone who is not staying at Luana Inn to join you in one of the common areas, please let us know in advance.

Water throughout the property is filtered, including water supplied to sinks and showers. We encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle and refill it with Luana Inn's purified water before leaving the property for the day.

The pool area is at the heart of Luana Inn. It's a place for quiet relaxation, swimming, soaking, enjoying the ocean views, and watching the sunset.

Please help us preserve its peaceful atmosphere and protect our water systems.

Luana Inn's swimming pool uses a Clear Comfort advanced oxidation system, designed to provide exceptionally clean water while greatly reducing reliance on traditional pool chemicals.

Because the water system is sensitive to contaminants, please shower before entering the pool and remove oils, body creams, and other products that may enter the water.

Please do not wear body oils or creams in the hot tub, and replace the hot tub cover after use.

Complimentary parking is available near the accommodations. Directions to your designated parking area will be provided with your reservation information.

Please use your assigned parking space throughout your stay so that access remains clear for everyone.

Luana Inn is a 100% smoke-free property, allowing everyone to enjoy the clean air and natural fragrances of the surrounding gardens.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted in guest rooms, private or common lānais, walking paths, or anywhere on the property. This policy includes tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, and vaping products.
